Hotel Real De Chapala

“This hotel is an oasis in the mountains of Mexico. It's more relaxing than the beach and without the sand. After 18 months in the city, we arrived here and the feeling was immediate relaxation! Highly recommend staying for a few days and unwind from city stresses. The rooms are huge, clean and the ventilation is good. Get a room , lakeside for the best experience. Garden view is lush and green, but doesn't impart the resort feel that the lake view will!”

“Checkin was fine. The property layout and location is exceptional. The room was very large although the furniture slightly dated. The bed was amazing and very comfortable. Housekeeping was good but unpredictable as to timing of servicing. It would be very nice if coffee pots were in the rooms so guests would not have to go down to the restaurant for a cup of lukewarm coffee. The restaurant has a nice menu and the food tasty although very slow coming from the kitchen. The bar is not adequate as they were unable to make a martini due to lacking very dry vermouth. I would stay here again.”
